John Penisten is an independent photojournalist and writer based in Hilo, Hawai`i and manages Pacific Pictures, a photo agency specializing in images of Hawai`i and Asia/Pacific Rim destinations and subjects.

Pacific Pictures covers assignment and stock photography with an emphasis in photojournalism, editorial, travel, scenics, cultural events, people, business and public relations subjects.
